Bob Bonebrake

Bob Bonebrake, 92 years, of Lanagan, Missouri was called to heaven on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri. 

 He was born on August 7, 1923 in Lanagan, Missouri to the late Charles and Mildred (Longmore) Bonebrake. Bob married the love of his life, Betty Sue Benschoter on July 14, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. He was born and raised in Lanagan, Missouri, living in several other places following their marriage, they returned to Lanagan in 1985. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked as an operator in the Dupont Power House in Topeka, Kansas. He served as the Lanagan City Park Commissioner and a Lanagan City Councilman. He enjoyed baseball, fishing, hunting and gardening. Bob was very well known for his candy making of Peanut Brittle. He really loved spending time with his wife, Betty and all the residents of Golden Living Center where he served coffee and hot chocolate. He was a member of the Honey Lake Community Baptist Church in Noel, Missouri where he served as a Deacon. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Bonebrake and a son, Dennis Wayne Bonebrake. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Betty Sue Bonebrake; two sons, Steven Ray Bonebrake and wife, Elaine of Lawrence, Kansas, Timothy Lee Bonebrake and wife, Linda of Eudora, Kansas; a daughter, Susan Melynn Baldwin and husband, Lonnie of Mavisdale, Virginia; a sister, Ruth M. Bradley and husband, Bill of Bridge City, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Bob. 

 Funeral service for Bob Bonebrake will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. The Dr. R.D. Moring will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lanagan Cemetery in Lanagan, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at this time.
