Lorin Jones

Mr. Lorin "Jonesy" Jones, 87, of Noel, Missouri departed this life on Monday morning, February 29, 2016, in the comfort of his home after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Lorin entered this life on January 22, 1929, in Mountain Home, Arkansas to the late Hamilton and Francis (Riddle) Jones. He was raised in the Mountain Home Arkansas area. After high school Lorin served his country in the United States Air Force from 1948 until 1953. After leaving the Air Force he earned his Associate degree at Southern State College in Magnolia, Arkansas and eventually received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1957 from the University of Arkansas. On September 1, 1954, he was united in marriage to Shirley Jean Blackman and to this union four daughters and two sons were born. In 1960 they moved their family to Noel, Missouri. Lorin enjoyed a long career with the United States Department of Agriculture. He enjoyed reading, leather work, and repairing stringed instruments.

Lorin is survived by; four daughters, Lorinda Jones of Littleton, Colorado, Alesa Davis and husband, Mike, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Sharla Moore and husband, Bob, of Dallas, Texas and Andrea Sieczkowski and husband, Brian, of Maumelle, Arkansas; two sons, Clifford Jones and wife, Anita, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Jeff Jones and wife, Dorothy, of Noel, Missouri; four granddaughters, Ashley Morgaridge and husband, Codie, of Branson, Missouri, Rhia Stark and husband, Nicholai, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Madison Moore of Dallas, Texas and Melissa Jones of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; eight grandsons, Clifford Jones, Jr. and Tasheena Garrison of Webb City, Missouri, Corbin Rogers of Littleton, Colorado, Ryan Moore and wife, Jessie, of Brooklyn, New York, Luke, Alex and Adam Jones of Noel, Missouri and Darwin and Leo Sieczkowski of Maumelle, Arkansas; five great grandchildren, Ashton Jones of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Lukas Jones of Anderson, Missouri, Carlie Morgaridge of Branson, Missouri and Adilynn And Madilynn Jones of Webb City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Jones will be held on Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. The visitation will begin with a few words from close family friend Daniel Layne. Private family burial will take place in the Macedonia Cemetery in Doddridge, Arkansas.
