Goldie F. Hartin, age 96, Joplin, passed away at 6:55 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at Communities of Wildwood after a long illness.
Goldie was born January 10, 1923 in Galena, Missouri to the late Eldridge Jenkins and Ella Vaughn Jenkins.
She lived in Joplin since 1956, moving from the Aurora and Crane, Missouri areas. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, canning and cooking. Goldie attended the Faith Assembly of God for over fifty years, where she was known for providing pies for church auctions that would sell for $100 or more! Goldie loved her Lord and loved her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Goldie married Clinton Milford Hartin on April 18, 1942 in Crane, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2009.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne Hartin and son-in-law, Larry Moser.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Moser, Joplin, Janice Orem and husband, Glenn, Hockessin, Delaware; daughter-in-law, Shelley Hartin, Baxter Springs, Kansas; grandchildren, Jennifer Windley, Gail Orem, Clint Orem, Kirk Hartin, Kelly Hartin, Magen Briggs, Taylor Messbarger; and eleven great grandchildren.
Graveside services are planned for Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, in care of Parker Mortuary.
The family would like to thank the staff of Three Rivers Hospice and The Communities of Wildwood Ranch for the care they showed to Goldie and the entire family over the past several months.
