Mary Anne Collins, age 69, Joplin, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at her daughter's home with family surrounding her.
Mary was born August 12, 1949 in North Platte, Nebraska, daughter of the late Jim and Sylvia Coutts. She grew up in Nebraska and Colorado, before moving to Southern California. She also worked for years with the Littleton School District in Phoenix, Arizona.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Collins, and a daughter, Leslie Morris, both passed away in 2019, a brother, Jack Tibbels, and a sister, Josephine Richards.
Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Pottorff and husband John of Joplin, Trixie Severs of Phoenix; step-daughter, Victoria Collins of California; grandchildren, Nicci Walker (Jeremy) of Phoenix, Josh Pottorff (Nichole) of Joplin; Bo Hagler of Phoenix, Jordan Pottorff (Kelsey) of Joplin, and Monty Jasso of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Tibbels (Cindy) of Grand Terrace, California; sister, Verlene McKinney of Kennewick, Washington; several nieces and nephews.
No formal services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Joplin Humane Society.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Four State Cremation.
