Ronald E. 'Ron' Calentine, age 70, Diamond, passed away at 1:01 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2019 at his home after a sudden illness.
Ron was born May 12, 1949 in Hutchison, Kansas to the late Gene Calentine and Betty King Calentine and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.
Ron worked as an over-the-road truck driver for most of his adult working life. He was a forty year member of the Black Powder Rendezvous Club and always enjoyed their weekend getaways. Ron was a faithful member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sarcoxie and loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Ron married Marge Interman on December 11, 1970 in Dodge City, Kansas. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Melissa, Dennis, Ted, John; siblings, Jerry, Judy, Becky, Shari; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannine.
Memorial services are planned for Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sarcoxie. Interment of the ashes will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
