Donald L. Reynolds, 77, of Carterville, Missouri, passed away October 11, 2019.
Donnie was born October 31, 1941, in Sheldon, Missouri, to the late James and Lula Pearl (Hayes) Reynolds. He graduated from Carterville High School in 1959. Donnie served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1959 – 1962. He was employed by Atlas Powder Company/ICI for 39 years, retiring in 2003.
On November 8, 1963, he was united in marriage to Catherine Sisk and together they shared 56 wonderful years. Family was most important to Donnie and he will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, Carroll, Ralph, Cecil and Glen; and sisters, Norma Sisk, Jeanie Sisk and Rose Mary Lassiter.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Donald L. “Donnie” Reynolds, II.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine; children, Christy Eckert, Lisa Wood (David), Derrick Reynolds (Tracy), Andrew “Andy” Reynolds (Jenny) and daughter-in-law, Brenda Reynolds-Allison; grandchildren, Amy, Ricky, Chelsea, Brittany, Seth, Kyle, Matthew, Kaylee, Katherine and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Reilly, Alley, Little Ricky, Louis, Olivia, Avery, Arthur, Cora and one on the way; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Graveside memorial services with full military honors are 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019, at Carterville Cemetery with Tony Reynolds officiating.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City, Missouri.
