Imogene Reid

Imogene Rose Reid, age 63, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born May 18, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Alfred and Georgia (Bailey) Garrison.

Imogene attended school in Pleasant Hope, Missouri. She worked for the Juvenile Shoe Factory in Carthage, Missouri, Big Smith Jean Factory in Carthage, Paramount Cap Factory in Lockwood, Missouri and Degraffenreid Pickle Products in Springfield and attended Hillside Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing games.

On February 25, 1972, she married Cecil Reid in Springfield, Missouri.










Imogene is survived by her husband, of 47 years, Cecil; two sons, Alvin Reid and his wife, Trish, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Ernest Reid of Springfield; one step-daughter, Sabrina Pedigo and her family; three sisters, Janet Bridwell, Gina Ballinger and Vicky Garrison, all of Springfield; three brothers, Everett Garrison, Justin Garrison and Charlie Garrison, all of Springfield; six grandchildren, Ashley, Hailey and Alvin Reid II, all of Mt. Vernon, Kwinten Tiger of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Nikko Vasquez of Springfield and Brittany Reid and six great-grandchildren.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Georgia, brother, David Garrison and sister, Teresa Taylor.

A funeral service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Stone Bible Chapel, La Russell, Missouri. Burial will follow at the Fellowship Cemetery, across from the church.
