Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Round Grove Baptist Church for Andrew Brock Choate, 26, Lockwood, who died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Burial was in the Greenwood-Kistler Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lockwood Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Survivors include his mother, Lisa Comer and husband Jess; his father, Donnie Choate and wife Brandy; two brothers, Aaron Choate and Dakota Choate; one stepsister, Mariah Harding; one sister-in-law, Emily Choate; one niece, Frances Choate; one nephew, Liam Harding-Stump; grandparents, Carl and Joyce Beerly and Rick and Brenda Harding and a host of aunts and uncles including Carla and Kevin Sears, Pam and Jeff Hull, Donna and Randy Oglesby, Brant Beerly and Grant Beerly and cousins, Jerad and Kathy Sears, Drew and Kayla Warren, Brandon and Nichole Ogden, Jordan and Danielle Hull and Dillan Oglesby.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bea Choate; his grandfather, Harlan Choate and an aunt, April Harding-Hurd.
Mr. Choate was born May 20, 1993, to Donnie Choate and Lisa (Beerly) Comer. He was a 2011 graduate of Lockwood High School and attended Missouri Southern State University. He was a member of the Round Grove Baptist Church.
