Barbara Jean Briley, age 81, Seneca, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 at her home.
Barbara was born March 17, 1939 in Seneca, daughter of the late Forrest Clifford Edwards and Agnes Louise Murray Edwards. She graduated from Seneca High School, and worked several jobs over her life, from working for Boeing Air building planes, to working for several years in real estate, and also owning and operating the Duck Inn in Galena, Kansas. She has lived in the Seneca area for the past 30 years.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Gene Briley, who passed in 2008; and a sister, Daisy Allen.
Survivors include her children, Rick Myers and wife Nyla of Seneca, Ronny Myers and wife Renè of Galena, Robin Green and husband Kevin of Chandler, Oklahoma, and Teresa Briley and husband Gene of Seneca; brother, Larry Edwards and wife Corrina of Goodman, Missouri; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and step children, Nita Chitwood and husband Darren, and stepsons Robert Briley and Bob Briley all of Seneca.
Graveside service will be Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Swars Prairie Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Green officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
