Janice entered this life in rural Lawrence County Missouri on August 2, 1938 to the union of the late Leon and Virginia (Shull) Bass. She was a graduate of Pierce City High School.
She was employed as a grocery store cashier for forty years. She resided in Sarcoxie for many years until moving to Lonedell, Missouri. She was a member of Freedom Christian Fellowship Church. She enjoyed reading, puzzle books as well as volunteering at the Outreach Ministry in Sarcoxie. Janice will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Moore and three infant siblings.
Janice is survived by her children, Terri Smith and husband, Mike, Sherri Hirsch and husband, David Toms and Randy Hirsch and wife Jenny; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in the Chapel of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating. In-lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Freedom Christian Fellowship Church or the Outreach Ministry in care of the funeral home.
