Lon Anthony Gorda, 54, of Joplin, MO passed from this life on Monday, July 13, 2020 at his home.
Lon was born April 12, 1966 in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan to the union of Lloyd Allen and Arlene Emily (Christenson) Gorda. Lon graduated from Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1984.
Lon worked as a medical claims processor for Leggett and Platt and most recently for Dell. Lon enjoyed technology and computers, music and watching movies. His favorite sports team to watch was the Kansas City Chiefs, he was an avid fan.
Lon is preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Dee Gorda and Ginger Reppond.
Lon is survived by son, Shawn Gorda of Joplin, MO; two daughters, Kristen Davis and husband Jordan of Colorado Springs, Co, and Hannah Gorda of Hume, MO; step-son, Steven Spencer of Hume, MO; two sisters, Mari Gorda of Atlanta, GA, and Sonja Gorda of Pittsburg, KS; three grandchildren, Lillian Gorda, Jonah Davis, and Mia Davis; along with extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Fellowship Baptist Church, Baxter Springs, KS. Pastor Shane Dotson will officiate.
