Terry Norman Wilson, age 85, Joplin, passed away on June 24, 2020 at The Communities of Wildwood Ranch.
Terry was born March 5, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Norman Wilson and Mildred Parsons Wilson.
Terry owned and operated Hidden Acres Restaurant for many years.
He married Thelma Deloris Andrews on March 5, 1968 in Joplin. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2013.
Terry was also preceded in death by a son, Wendell Halls.
Survivors include a grandson, Nicholas Halls and wife, Stacy, Wichita, Kansas; a granddaughter, Brandy Johnson and husband, Chad, Prosper, Texas; and great grandchildren, Madison Halls, Morgan Halls, Ford Johnson and Royce Johnson.
Graveside committal of the ashes is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
Does anyone know of a resourse for the history of Hidden Acres? It started in 1947 and I'd like to inclde information in a potential book of that era in Joplin.
