Glen Johnson

Glen Reynhold Johnson, 77, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020, at his home.

Glen was born April 26, 1943, in Elcho, Wisconsin, to the union of the late Linn and Gladys (Anderson) Johnson. He was a 1961 graduate of Elcho High School. Following high school, Glen attended Neosho County Junior College. Glen enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country from 1961-1965; he was assigned temporary duty in Germany and stationed at Forbes Air Field in Topeka, Kansas, the remainder of his career. He retired as a career truck driver. Glen enjoyed playing golf and was a lifetime Green Bay Packers fan. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

On October 10, 1964, Glen was united in marriage to Linda Goltry in Chanute, Kansas, and she survives. 








Additional survivors include their two children, Diana Turner of Louisburg, Kansas, and Michael Johnson and wife, Tammy, of Humble, Texas; step-daughter, Susan Burnham, and husband, Joseph, of Webb City; five grandchildren, Jayme DuBreuil and husband, Derek, of Norman, Oklahoma, Tanner Grillot of Louisburg, and Chase Stubbs, Hunter Johnson and Chandler Johnson, all of Humble; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Anne Marie Maney and Duane Johnson and wife, Carole, all of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and Gerald Johnson and wife, Viriginia, of Marshfield, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by five siblings, Robert Johnson, Mary Ellen Kauth, James Johnson, Vernon Johnson and Kenneth Johnson.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2020, in the chapel of Parker Mortuary with Pastor Alan McCamey officiating. Committal of ashes will follow at Osborne Cemetery in Joplin. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
