(From Ozark Funeral Home)Linda Lee Barnes Linda Lee Barnes, 82, of Anderson, Missouri passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Born on November 17, 1941, in Bentonville, Arkansas, to Raymond Floyd Mitchell and Katherine Rodgers Mitchell, Linda spent her life in the Ozarks, where she became a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Linda’s life was marked by a devoted career in banking and customer service, working with McDonald County Bank, US Bank, and McDonald County Telephone Company where she retired with over 30 years of dedicated service. Known for her integrity and professionalism, she was admired by colleagues and customers alike.
Linda is survived by her husband, Bill Barnes of the home. Her sons: Tim Kilby and his wife, Marjorie, of Beaver, Arkansas; Mitch Kilby and his wife, Dayna, of Pineville, Missouri; Darren Kilby of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and stepson John Barnes and wife Melee of Bella Vista, Arkansas. She leaves behind a loving legacy in her grandchildren, Chris Kilby, Lindsay Miller, Tyler Gibbs, and Wesley Kilby, and her seven great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close.
Known for her generous spirit, Linda brought joy and warmth to those around her. She had a love for casinos, a passion for travel, and an adventurous heart that inspired her family. Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
