(From Ozark Funeral Home)Jerry Lynn Lemons 63 of Lanagan, Mo passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri, after a sudden illness with his "Girls" by his side.
Jerry was born to Charles and Alta Lemons on September 12, 1961 in Stark City, Missouri.
Jerry moved to Anderson, Missouri in 1991, living with his brother Billy at Green Meadows Group Home where he called home for the past 34 years.
Jerry enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and playing basketball. He received many medals for his participation and loved to show off his medals and talk about his accomplishments, often smiling and saying he was a basketball star.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alta Lemons, and a brother Charles.
He is survived by a sister, Judy Lemons of Noel, Missouri; a brother Billy Lemons of Anderson, Missouri, and all of his family at Green Meadows.
Jerry touched the lives of all who worked with him. Jerry overcame many obstacles, and for the past four years, he had found his love for life, enjoying having his own home and learning to laugh and enjoy every day to the fullest. It is that laughter that we will all miss the most. Go sing with the angels, sweet boy. We will miss you greatly, but you will never be forgotten.
Graveside Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Cummings Cemetery in Tiff City, Missouri, with Darrol Hurley officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Shalaya Davis, Paige Sparrow, Sheranda Davis, Caitlyn Lovatt, Carl Ewing, and Bill Friend. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
