Matt Brazeal

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Matthew Eugene Brazeal, 66, of Pineville, Missouri, passed away Saturday evening, February 1, 2025.

He was born to Harold Eugene and Anna Louise (Oliver) Brazeal on January 25, 1959 in Kansas City, MO.

A die-hard, lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, Matt bled red and gold. His loyalty to the team was steadfast and unwavering. In his younger days, he was as likely to be found in the great outdoors with a fishing rod or hunting rifle. He was a very talented wood worker. He loved it so much that he never viewed it as a job, but rather a true passion of his.

Matt's outgoing and friendly nature made him a father figure to many beyond his own children. His advice and guidance were often sought after and welcomed with open arms. Matt had a legendary ornery streak, some might say stubborn, which his daughters most certainly inherited. For those who were fortunate to be in his presence, life was never dull! Conversations with Matt always began with “Hey Babe” and without fail, ended with a heartfelt “Love ya.”

As we bid farewell to Matthew Eugene Brazeal, let's do so with a smile on our faces and a chuckle in our hearts. Cheer extra loud for his Chiefs, he wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Matthew is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Louise Brazeal.

He is survived by his father, Harold Brazeal, of Pineville Missouri; his daughters, Melissa Brazeal-Giese and husband, Gavin, of Pineville Missouri, Debra Brazeal, of Pineville, Missouri, and Samantha Brazeal, of Eminence, Missouri; his brother, Joseph Brazeal and his husband, James Jensen, of Olathe, Kansas; his sisters, Angela Divelbliss and her husband, Chris, of Pineville, Missouri, and Sarah Pankau and husband, Randy, of Pineville, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Kalob, Ivy, Macy, Justice, Finnley, Freya, Liam, and Singrid. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends.
