Nancy George

Nancy Ann (Gordon) George, passed away on April 13, 2025, surrounded by love from her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She joins her devoted husband, Warren in eternity.

Nancy was born on August 16,1938, to Ralph and Alice Gordon in Vanderburgh, Indiana. Nancy met Warren George and married him on November 2, 1957.

Nancy loved to travel, research her Scottish ancestry, and supporting her husband military career. Nancy was an avid collector of books and all things interesting. Some of her collections include Celtic collectables, figures and trinkets that she and Warren would sell at Scottish festivals during their retirement years. She was always up to going out for Mexican food and celebrating birthdays and anniversaries with a plate of Calamari. Nancy was an amazing artist and would display some of her work in her home. She enjoyed going out into her yard and planting flowers or playing in the dirt.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Warren and infant son, Kevin.

She is survived by her son Duane and his wife, Christi (Linder) George; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family and life-long friends. Special thanks to the best neighbors and friends, J.L. and Jo Keesling. Nancy will be dearly missed by all.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with Bonnie Grace officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.housh-goodwinfuneralhome.com. 

In-lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
