Betsy Killinger

Elisabeth "Betsy" E. Killinger, age 51, of Girard, KS., passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at her home.

Betsy the daughter of Chuck Killinger and Gail (Lombard) Rose, was born at the old Freeman Hospital on September 9, 1973, in Joplin, MO. She grew up in Joplin and was a long-time resident, as a child she spent her time in the Brownies and in the Girl Scouts where she made multiple lifelong friends.








Betsy attended school in Joplin. She went to Irving Elementary, South Middle School, Joplin Junior High and Joplin High School making many more close friends and many more memories along the way, eventually graduating class of '91.

After high school, Betsy had 3 children, her two sons Dalton and Aaron, and her daughter Amy. She worked a few various jobs in Joplin before going to work for the family business, Dalton-Killinger Construction Company. She worked for the family company starting as a secretary and was promoted to payroll clerk for several years before illness forced her to retire.

Betsy moved to Girard, Ks in 2012 where she continued to love and support her family. She loved reading, listening to music, playing video games, going out with her friends, sharing memes with her kids, and enjoyed smiling.

She was intelligent, beautiful, resilient, caring, charismatic and charming. She was an amazing mother, an amazing friend and she was an even more amazing listener. She had a great sense of humor, and she will be missed by many.







She was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck Killinger and Gail Rose.

Betsy is survived by her children; Dalton Kraft, Aaron Kraft and Amy Kraft, her brother; Christopher Killinger and his wife Wendy, her step-mother; Linda Killinger, a grandson; Zaber Bruce-Kraft, her uncle; Curt Killinger, and numerous cousins.

A memorial visitation has been scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel.
