Eric Ray King, age 40, passed away on June 27, 2025, in Joplin, MO, where he was also born on January 8, 1985. Despite battling illness for several years, Eric maintained his outgoing, friendly, and fun demeanor, bringing joy to those around him.

Eric was a proud graduate of Fairland OK High School, class of 2003. He was self-employed as a welder, a profession that showcased his skill and hard work. His free time often found him fishing, a hobby that provided him great solace and enjoyment.

Eric is survived by his parents Gary and Barbara (Baker) King, his daughter, Emmy Jo King of Springfield; son, Seth King of Grove; sister, Lisa King of Miami, OK; brothers, Kenneth King of Vinita, OK, and Donathan Burcher of Goodman, MO; and his best friend, Brian McCord of Grove, OK. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed.

In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned. Nichols-Stephens Funeral & Cremation Services in Grove, OK, is assisting the family during this difficult time. Eric's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, as a loving father, a devoted friend, and a respected craftsman.
