(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Hazel Purdy, of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood, MO at the age of 100.
She was born on June 13, 1925 in Greenfield, MO to Robert Frank and Cecil Marie (Headdy) Pierce. Hazel was united in marriage to Clyde Howard Purdy on September 19, 1950. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved her family. Hazel was member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Cecil Pierce; her husband, Clyde Purdy; one son, Jerry McGeeHee and his wife Mary Lou; two brothers, Orval Pierce and Carl Pierce; four sisters, Geraldine Mitchell, Alberta Pierce, Opal Jones, and Janet Dill; and one grandchild, Alisa McGeeHee.
Survivors include one son, Richard Purdy and his wife Beverly; one grandchild, Scott McGeeHee and his wife Anita; three step grandchildren, James Freeman, Steven Freeman, and Brandon Stokes; two great-grandchildren, Lacey Patterson and Megan Bennett; four step-great-grandchildren, Michael Freeman, Maya Freeman, Ethan Stokes, and Stella Freeman; one step-great-great-grandchild, Karmyn Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Greenfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
