Darren Channel

Darren Christopher Channel, 56, Joplin, passed away on September 19, 2025. He was born on June 7, 1969, in Joplin, MO to Peggy Carpenter and the late Herbert Channel.

Darren worked as a firefighter. His bravery and dedication were evident in every aspect of his work. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. But above all, family was the cornerstone of Darren's life. He was a devoted father, a loving son, and an adored grandfather. His daughter was the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with her, from her earliest steps to her own journey into parenthood. Darren's mother, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond, could always count on him for support and love. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he took great pride in them.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelby (Arian); mother, Peggy Carpenter; siblings, Darla Channel, Doug Channel, and Dennis Channel; grandchildren, Sadie Myers and Gracie England; and sister-in-law, Tracy Burris.

Along with his father he is preceded in death by his child, Darren Channel, Jr., and brother, Randy Channel.

Cremation arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
