(From Parker Mortuary)Leta Chantel Owens, 33, passed away on September 29, 2025, in Miami, Oklahoma. She was born on June 2, 1992, in Arkansas.
Leta enjoyed painting, sunrises and sunsets, the beach, camping, horseback riding, being with family, especially her daughter, Alaina. She loved going to the zoo with her daughter. She loved being with her friends at the casino or going to the river to float. She enjoyed working on cars and always wanted to be a NASCAR driver. Leta lived life to the fullest and was compassionate. She always wanted to make sure everyone was okay.
She is survived by her father, James Owens; stepmother, Maryann Owens; stepmother, Bonnie Pennington; daughter, Alaina Barham; siblings, Shayla Owens, Savanah Owens, Alisha Shellman, Kelli Ross, Jordan Jennings, and Trusten Jennings; grandparents, Steve and Jay Owens; and several nieces and nephews.
Leta is preceded in death by her mother, Letta (Ross) Owens; stillborn son, Kaden; and sister, Destiny Jennings.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parker Mortuary to help with Leta’s final expenses.
Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Mo.
