Peggy Tate

(From Parker Mortuary)

Peggy Lynn Tate, 76, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on November 15, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1949 in Joplin, MO to the late Floyd and Garnett (Hutson) Watkins.

Above all, Peggy's love for her grandchildren knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom and laughter in equal measure. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the beauty she created, and the memories she made with those she loved.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 61 years, James Tate; children, Marcy Aga and James T. Tate (Tobey) and his wife Amanda; grandchildren, Trenton Tate (Ana) and Austin Tate; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Kaden, Deklynn and Noah.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Jenness and Jimmie Watkins.
