(From Knell Mortuary)Rosa Julia Rodriguez De Aguilo, aged 95, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her cherished family.
Rosa was born on August 11, 1930, in Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Rafaela Sepulveda and Antonio Rodriguez, throughout her life, her infectious laughter and joyous spirit were a source of delight to all who knew her. She married Ismael Aguilo on March 4, 1954. Rosa took care of Ismael, who was a disabled US Army Veteran for 54 years till his passing.
Rosa, who often inspired her family and friends with her dedication and compassionate nature, beautifully balanced her role as a devoted housewife with her various interests and association involvements. Her faith was an essential aspect of her life, and she embraced her Christian beliefs with fervent devotion, spreading kindness and wisdom within her community.
Her irresistible love for life was evident in her passion for dancing, attending parties, and her enthusiasm for games of chance, which often found her at the bingo hall or enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Casinos. Rosa was also an active member of the American Legion in Puerto Rico, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed gracefully to the organization's activities.
No gathering was ever dull with Rosa's presence. She had the remarkable ability to make anyone around her smile and often left a trail of laughter in her wake. Her humor was a gift that she generously shared, ensuring that her stories and jokes will be retold and cherished for generations to come.
Rosa's legacy of love is carried on through her family, who meant the world to her. She is survived by her attentive daughter-in-law, Maria Rodrigues Irizarry, her adoring granddaughter, Dr. Lourdes X. Aguilo Rodriguez, and her dynamic grandson, Alexander A. Aguilo Rodriguez. Each of them reflects Rosa's warmth, her zest for life, and the boundless affection she bestowed upon them. She is also preceded in death by a son Dr Ismael Aguilo Rodriguez.
