Edgar M. Miller, 74, Goodman, died October 25, 2016 at his home, following an illness.
Edgar was born July 9, 1942 in Modesto, California, the son of Frank E. and Carrie M. (Keisler) Miller. He served in the U.S. Army, October 1960 – October 1962. He moved to Goodman in 1995 from Arkansas and had worked as a painter. He enjoyed restoring vehicles, fishing, tractor pulls and he enjoyed raising his family. He was a member of the Church of the Firstborn.
Edgar and Connie (Perkins) were married on Jan. 27, 1963 in Springfield, Missouri and she survives. Additional survivors include five children, Curtis Miller and wife, Pam of Stella; Christina Lehar and husband, Todd of Neosho; LeAnn Presley and husband, Mike of Harrison, Arkansas; Loree Carver and husband, Todd of Victoria, Texas and DeAnna Hames and husband, Brent of Neosho; three brothers, Bill Presley and wife, Connie of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; Merle Austin and Mark Miller and wife, Kathy of Louisberg, Missouri; four sisters, Milda Hicks and husband Ralph of Macks Creeks, Missouri; Maryanna Tharp and husband, Kenny and Mavis Bassett and husband, Bill of Springfield, Missouri and Marlene Pierce and husband, Rick of Marshfield, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Maurice and two sisters, Marilyn and Marchella.
Services will be Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 at 1 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Dowell Pruitt and Mark Kummings will officiate. Interment and Military Honors will follow in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Derek Francisco, Justin Francisco, Dillon Bohannan, Connor Lehar, Ryan Joslin, Jesse Joslin, Zachariah Carver, Christopher Hames and Derrek Hames. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Thursday from 9 am until 7 pm and the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
