Floyd Nichols, age 75, of Neosho, Mo., passed away on Friday March 24, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, following an illness.
Floyd was born on September 19, 1941 in Joplin, the son of the late Floyd Nichols, Sr. and Margie (Hensley) Nichols. He has been a lifetime area resident. He served in the United States Army National Guard. He married Liana Price and together they had one son. Floyd worked as a machinist for Lozier Corporation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and baseball. He loved playing all sports.
Floyd is survived by one son, Jason Nichols and wife Christina, Neosho, Mo.; one brother Dennis Nichols, Joplin; four grandchildren, Christin Nichols, Jaden Nichols, Jordan Lasley, and Codie Lasley; one great-grandson, Max Orr; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will be in Osborne Cemetery. Friends may call during regular visiting hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
