Frieda Kathryn (Lines) Royer, 92, of Pineville, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the McDonald Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.
She began her journey on July 4, 1924 in Pineville, Missouri born to the late Abe and Etta (Bunch) Lines. Frieda grew up in Pineville, Missouri and graduated from Pineville High School. She went to University of Missouri in Columbia graduating in 1952. She traveled to Triploi, North Africa where she taught for the Air Force. Frieda met her husband in Tripoli, Robert F. Royer, whom she married in Washington, DC on May 15, 1951, living there for a short time before heading to Denver, Colorado. She taught school at Belmont School and Commerce City School District in Colorado retiring in 1985. Frieda moved back to Pineville for the winter and stayed in Eldora, Colorado for the summer. She was a long time member of Delta Kappa Gamma; Betterment Association of Pineville; American Legion Auxiliary in Pineville. Frieda served on many committees with the Pineville United Methodist Church, where she was a faithful member for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Marc Royer.
Frieda is survived by her three sons, Chris Royer of Pineville, Missouri, Jon Porter Royer of Commerce City, Colorado, Duane Royer of Eldora, Colorado; as well as a host of family and friends who will dearly miss Frieda.
A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Pineville United Methodist Church or the McDonald County Nursing home activities fund in memory of Frieda.
