Donna Lasiter

Donna M. Lasiter, age 71, of Carthage, Mo. passed away at 8:19 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Donna was born February 11, 1946 in Eldorado Springs, Mo. She had lived in Carthage most of her life. Donna was employed in the Quality Control Department of the Schreiber Bacon Plant in Carthage. She previously worked for Big Smith Clothing Co. in Carthage. She attended Impact Life Church in Joplin.

Donna enjoyed playing bingo, quilting and being with her friends. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family; friends and pets; Lacy and Nikki.

Donna married Loren E. Lasiter May 5, 1962 in Carthage. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Viola Howerton, and a brother, Gary Howerton. Survivors include three sons, Scott Lasiter, and fiance’ Katrina, Willie Lasiter, and Gene Lasiter and wife Sherrie, all of Carthage, a friend she considered as a son, Chestene Burns, Carthage, five brothers, Ron Howerton, Roger Howerton and Linda Zebert, Mark Howerton and wife Carla, and Fred Howerton and wife Misty, all of Carthage, and Steve Howerton, St. Louis, Mo., two sisters, Connie McCoy and husband Roger, Carthage, and Bonnie Garin and husband Byron, Virginia Beach, Va., seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Services will be at Fairview Christian Church in Carthage, Mo. on Monday, November 13th, 2017 starting at 6:30 p.m.
