Micheal Andrew Christenson, age 45, Duenweg, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis after a sudden illness.
Mike was born August 12, 1972 in Rancho Cordova, California, and lived in several cities as a child. He moved to Joplin in 1995, and most recently was working as a machine operator with Bemis Company Inc. He was a huge Denver Broncos fan, a technology buff, and loved playing with computers, and playing games with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and especially loved spoiling his grandchildren. He was a known for his desire to always learn something new and the intense love he had for his family.
Mike was preceded in death by a daughter, Micayla Christenson.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, and best friend, Carrie Gilstrap Christenson; daughters, Ashley Komma and husband Zak, and Amber Swager all of Joplin; grandchildren, Raven Komma and Vincent Goodwin.
Memorial services will be Friday, December 1, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rick Flinn and friends officiating. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary following the service.
