Vivian Vu, age 19 of Joplin, Mo. passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Vivian was born on May 30, 1998 in Fountain Valley, Ca., the daughter of Phong and Lai (Tran) Vu. She has been an area resident since 2011, Vivian graduated Magna Cum Laude from Joplin High School in 2016. She was currently attending Missouri Southern State University on an Academic Scholarship and was currently on the Honor Roll. She invested her time towards her church’s youth group, Messengers of Christ. She majored in international studies and her hope was to put her talents to use in giving back to the world.
She is survived by her parents, a sister; Diana Vu of Joplin, a brother Martin Vu of Joplin, paternal grandmother Van Vu of Baton Rouge, La.
Services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Congregation of the Mother Coredemptrix Church in Carthage, Mo. A prayer service and visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday evening at Mason-Woodard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
What a beautiful young lady Vivian was, both inside and out. She will be missed BIG TIME.
