Dwayne Elvene Jones, age 62, of Pierce City, Missouri, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born July 14, 1955, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Orville and Iris (Maness) Jones.
Dwayne was a 1973 graduate of Marionville High School and was a lab technician for the 3M Company in Springfield and was of the Baptist Faith.
On August 21, 1982, he married Janet Gale Brafford, in Joplin, Missouri.
Dwayne is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet; two daughters, Sasha Gibson and her husband, Robert, of Aurora and Alissa Stoddard and her husband, Richard, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; two sons, Jeremy Jones of Neosho and Joshua Jones and his wife, Marielys, of Hollister; two brothers, Michael Jones and his wife, Vonna, of Bolivar and Rickie Jones and his wife, Debbie, of Marionville; two sisters, Yvonne Houston and her husband, Robert, of Monett and Debbie Hunsaker and her husband, Mark, of Branson; his mother and step-father, Iris and David Duke of Republic; ten grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
His father, Orville preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will follow from 6:30–8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
