Margaret L. Thomas, 90, Neosho, entered into rest on Jan. 24, 2018 surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Margaret was born April 19, 1927 in La Harpe, Kansas, the daughter of Stanley and Marie (Smith) Harris. She was a longtime Neosho resident and had worked as a bookkeeper for Neosho Nurseries and CPA offices. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Neosho.
Margaret married Gaylord V. Thomas on Sept. 10, 1951 he preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1988. She is survived by two daughters, Jan Bright and husband, Don and Kathy Glass and husband, Mike, all of Neosho; two grandchildren, Matt Kunkel and wife, Stacey, and Lauren Kunkel; five great grandchildren, Alex, Spencer, Trenton, Raegan and Lily. One brother, Howard Harris and wife, Patsy of Texas. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Alice Upshaw and two brothers, Wayne Harris and Samuel Harris.
Services will be held Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Rich Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at HazelGreen Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Bright, Matt Kunkel, Mike Glass, Max Campbell, Eric Ellis and Burt Grau. The family will receive friends Monday, prior to the service from 9 am until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested Contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
