Mitzi Dee Bothwell, 62, passed away April 4, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Mitzi was born July 19, 1955 in Garnett, KS to Clyde and Priscilla (P.J.) “Mallicoat” Evans. She moved from Plainview, TX to Carthage, MO and has lived in Carthage for the past 36 years. Mitzi worked in Admitting and E.R. Registration at Mercy Hospital in Carthage.
Mitzi was united in marriage to Daniel Bothwell on August 10, 1973 in Bennett, CO; he survives.
Mitzi is also survived by her mother; one son, Shaun Bothwell; one daughter, Michelle Willis (Rocky) of Carthage; two brothers, Robert Evans of Blackhawk, CO and Anthony Evans of Dixon, MO; five grandchildren, Shelby Golay (Seth), Mackenzie Willis, Kylie Plummer, Paige Cline and Grayson Willis; one great grandchild and one expected in August.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home.
