Catherine Taylor

Catherine E. Taylor was born March 16, 1932 in Fairview, Missouri, the daughter of Ray and Bertha (Wogoman) Embrey. She entered into rest on December 11, 2020 at her home, following an extended illness at the age of 88. 

Catherine graduated from Fairview High School in 1950 and was a lifelong area resident. She had worked as an inspector at Big Smith and was a homemaker. She liked to cook and garden and enjoyed raising her five boys and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Stark City Church of Christ. 

Catherine and Robert C. Taylor were married on Jan. 27, 1955 in Joplin and he preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2019. 








She is survived by five sons, Richard Taylor and wife, Jane of Stark City, Russell Taylor of Fair Grove, Keith Taylor and wife, Della of Granby, Charles Taylor of Granby and James Taylor and wife, Melinda of Granby; one sister, Shirley Kassner of Neosho; sister-in-law, Margie Couchman; two brothers-in-law, Ken Taylor and wife, Linda and Gabe Trujillo; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Maria Denise Taylor; a sister, Betty Wellsley and husband Ervin and brother, Howard Embrey.
