Patty League

Patricia Suzanne League, 57, of Joplin, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

Patty was born January 6, 1964 in Joplin to the union of the late Jack and Phyllis (Keeling) League. She graduated from Westland High School in Columbus, Ohio. 

 Following high school, Patty began her career in healthcare at the Children’s Hospital in Columbus. She furthered her career at St. John’s Hospital in Joplin, now Mercy, and worked there as a CVOR Tech for the remainder of her career. Patty dedicated her life to healthcare and caring for those who could not always care for themselves.

Patty was selfless, loving and always generous. She had a fun sense of humor and was always happy. Patty radiated positivity, even through her hidden hardships. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her brother, Randall Kent League; and her significant other, Gary Bowshier.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Zachary and Faith Bowshier; five grandchildren, Kolby, Rosie, Zandyr, Westyn, and Hudson; three sisters, Teresa Aderhold (Lester), Linda Parliament (Roger), and Cindy Sasek (Rick); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
