Rick Hyder

Ricky L. Hyder was born October 8, 1953 in Springfield, Missouri, one of six children to Delbert and Faye (Burney) Hyder. He entered into rest on March 31, 2021 in Neosho, following a farming accident. 

Rick moved to Neosho in 1986 from Marshfield, Missouri. He was a minister of the Gospel and ministered at the Lewisville, Arkansas Church of Christ for three years and spent his life sharing the gospel with anyone who would listen. He worked at MFA, Inc. as manager in Marshfield and Neosho and retired at the age of 55 in 2007. 

He enjoyed cattle farming, gardening, horseback riding, sucker grabbing and camping with family and friends, especially with the Benny Haught family. He loved his family and enjoyed time spent with them, especially his grandchildren, whom he cherished. Rick was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ and served as an elder for many years. 






Rick and Lenora Davis were married on November 6, 1971 in Marshfield and she survives. 

In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by two sons, Jason (Stephanie) Hyder of Ozark, Missouri and Jared (Michelle) Hyder of Granby; five grandchildren, Parker, Paige, Max, Marcus and Jude Hyder; two brothers, Randy (Becky) Hyder and Roger Hyder of Marshfield; two sisters, Debra (Kenny) Davis of Marshfield and DeEtta (Charlie) McClain of Republic and numerous other family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rex Hyder. 

Funeral services will be Friday, April 2, 2021 at 10 am at the Hillcrest Church of Christ, Danny Boggs and John Deffenbaugh will officiate. Following the service, the family will receive friends until 12:30 at the church. 

A second service, under the direction of the Day Funeral Home in Marshfield will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Marshfield Church of Christ on Highway A in Marshfield, visitation beginning at 1:00 pm and services at 2:30 pm, Bob Lewis will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Luke’s Cemetery, Conway, Missouri. 

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Glen Honeycutt, Benny Haught, Randy Hyder, Jared Hyder, Jason Hyder and Parker Hyder.
