(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Brian “Scotty Mac” McWilliams, 60, passed away on Monday, May 3rd, 2021 at Freeman Hospital, Joplin Missouri. Scotty Mac was born on December 14th, 1960 to Jim McWilliams and Sandra Fasken Newman in Carthage, Missouri.
Scotty Mac was a lineman in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and worked for Carthage Water and Electric for the past 29 years. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Carthage, Missouri.
Scotty Mac was united in marriage to Shirley Hughes on August 30, 1996 at the Methodist Church in Avilla, Missouri; she survives.
He is survived by one son Eric McWilliams (Becky) of Carthage, Missouri; one daughter Jackie Williams (Josh) of Jasper, Missouri; his mother Sandra Fasken Newman; his yellow Amazon Parrot, Popeye; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jim McWilliams (April 4, 2020).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
