Alma Cozby

Alma Dorothy Ann Lee Cozby, of Pineville, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born on August 31, 1926 in Moora, Western Australia to the late, Dolly and Thomas Lee. Alma grew up in Perth, Australia. 

In 1944, she got on a ship as a war bride and began a two week journey across the seas where she became the first and only immigrant in the family to begin her new life in America. 








She was a dedicated wife to Earl Eugene Cozby, a great mother and a wonderful Nana. She loved Big Band music, Traveling in the Motor Home, 3 oz of wine a day and her yearly birthday banana splits where even though she couldn’t possibly eat another bite she ALWAYS ended up eating at least three, a good cup of tea, which was an art she taught us all. Some say she held the whereabouts to the fountain of youth. Alma will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Cozby; sister Daphne; brother Stan and her only two sons Kevin Cozby and Kerry Beshears; her daughter Kristen Thomas and her granddaughter, Carol.

Alma is survived by her children, Karen Leigh and husband Keith Oldham of Eugene, Oregon, Kathryn Farmer of Dallas, Texas, Kolleen Claudette Kelley and Lawrence Kelley of Simi Valley, California, Kelly LeGrand Pineville, Missouri; grandchildren, Leighann, Jefrey, Mark, Kerianne, Brandy, Michael, AnnMarie, Athena Renee, Lawrence, Laura, Miranda, Kevin, Matthew and Kyle; over twenty five great and great- great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Alma will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday September 24, 2021 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Cecil Hall will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Jane Cemetery in Jane, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 23, 3021 in the Anderson Chapel of Ozark Funeral Home.
