Sherrie Garrow

Sharon ‘Sherrie’ Kay Garrow, age 71 of Neosho, entered into rest on January 6, 2022 in Joplin, following a short illness. 

Sherrie was born October 25, 1950 in Miami, Oklahoma. She graduated from Miami High School and received an Associates Degree from NEO. 

On September 2, 1972 she married Gilbert ‘Gib’ Garrow in Miami, Oklahoma. In 1973, Sherrie and husband, Gib moved to Wilburton, Oklahoma where they worked for the Public Service Company of Oklahoma. 








While living there, they became actively involved in the Jaycees and Gib was elected National President of the Jaycees in June of 1980 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where the national headquarters was located. They traveled to forty-eight states and several foreign countries with the Jaycees. 

In 1985, they moved to Neosho from Skiatook, Oklahoma. Sherrie had worked at the Moark Productions Offices, for the Neosho R-5 School District as secretary for the guidance counselor’s offices, secretary for the high school office and PowerSchool administer until her retirement in May of 2014. She currently worked as property manager of the Lane Apartments in Neosho. 

Sherrie enjoyed movies, her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by two children, Sydney (TJ) Angel of Neosho and Gabe (Jamie) Garrow of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Emma Angel and Tate Angel of Neosho; her mother, Lois J. McIntosh of Miami and one sister, Susie (Jim) Belcher of Miami. 

Sherrie is preceded in death by her husband, Gib and her father, Randall McIntosh. At Sherrie’s request, a private family service will be held.
