(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Dan A. Summersill, age 75 of Webb City, MO, passed away at 1:26 am on April 30, 2022 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Dan was born on January 5, 1947 n Fort Lauderdale, FL to the union of Myrle Summersill and Gloria (Tucker) Summersill. He had lived in Florida, Texas, and Alaska before settling in Southwest Missouri.
He worked as a self-employed handyman, and retired as an electrician in the late 2000's, and was also a veteran of the US Army. He loved being outdoors outdoors, and especially liked fishing, kayaking, and camping.
Dan was united in marriage with Penny (Williams) Summersill on May 22, 1986 in Sanford, FL. She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Dan Arthur Summersill of Florida, and Dyllan Summersill of Webb City, MO; one daughter, Correa Summersill of Joplin; one granddaughter Ameliah Summersill; one grandson, Dart Summersill of Florida; two brothers, David and Allen, both of Florida; and two sisters, Patricia and Janet, both of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrle and Gloria; and one daughter, Andrea Summersill.
