Diann Foster

Elizabeth Diann Foster, age 74 passed away at 8:41 am, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin MO.

Diann was born November 11, 1949 in Kansas City, MO. Her parents were Charley Joseph and Verna (Allen) Foster. She was one of twelve children born into this family. She had lived in Galena KS and Joplin MO most of her life.

Diann enjoyed watching tv, crossword puzzles, playing games on her iPad/phone, knitting and crocheting. Her real passion was her family, friends and children. You couldn’t ask for a better babysitter, she was the “BEST”. She also enjoyed house sitting as well.

Surviving is one brother, Tony Foster, Galena Ks; one brother-in-law, Lonnie Ferguson, Joplin Mo. one sister-in-law, Karen Simpson and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 11, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Pastor Alan McCamey will officiate. Pallbearers: Charles Atkins, Nickalas Tolbert, Gavin Tolbert, Mike Tolbert, Ricky Dale Atkins Jr., and Austin Atkins. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena, KS.
