Georgeann Stovall

Georgeann Stovall of Miami, OK passed from this life Thursday, March 7, 2024 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was 65.

Georgeann was born March 19, 1958 in rural Ottawa County, OK in the Wyandotte area to Roy James and Geraldine (Bearskin) Stovall. She had lived in Ottawa County all her life and graduated from Wyandotte High School class of 1974. She was a homemaker and a member of the Seneca – Cayuga Tribe, Seneca – Cayuga Longhouse (Native American Church) .







Georgeann was preceded in death by 1 daughter Janie Schmidt, her parents, 5 brothers, Leslie Ray “Mutt” Howard, LeRoy Howard, Jim Stovall, Tom Stovall and Roy Lee Stovall and 5 sisters, Trudy White, Sue Nuckolls, Laurie Heffleman, Deanna Mersman and Edie Bowers.

Survivors include 1 son, Clayton Schmidt of Miami, OK, 4 sisters, Shine Carson of Miami, OK, Donna Francis of Miami, OK, Denise Garwood of Miami, OK and Carol Hammons of Joplin, MO, 3 grandchildren, Nolan Smith, Lincoln Smith and Jalen Smith.








Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Bassett Grove Cemetery, northeast of Grove, OK. Native American Rites will be conducted by Charlie Diebold and Head Grave Digger is Joey Giveswater. Pallbearers will be Travis Bowers, David Scott, Shawn Stovall, Sammie Buckallew, Matt Nuckolls and Mitch Nuckolls. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Ellis and Darius Donohue. Georgeann will lie in state starting at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Seneca – Cayuga Community Building, northeast of Grove, OK.
