(From Clark Funeral Home)Darwood Terry was born on February 16, 1942, in Northford, Arkansas, the son of Ervin and Neville (Denton) Terry. He entered into rest on December 17, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 82.
Darwood served his country in the United States Navy, September 1963 to September 1967. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked for the railroad. Darwood was a very creative person, making jewelry and woodworking and loved being outdoors.
On September 15, 1995, in Miami, Oklahoma, Darwood and Clara (Naylor) were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death on September 25, 2023.
Darwood is survived by one son, Ronald Wayne Terry and wife, Sonja; three grandchildren, Dustin Terry and wife, Madison, Tiffany Entriken and husband, Brady, Dakota Terry and wife, Allison; great grandchildren, Aiden Terry, Ava Terry, Archer Terry, Kirston Entrikin, Kaleb Entrikin, Kameron Entrikin, Karson Entrikin, Asher Terry and River Terry; niece Stephanie Lusk and husband Bryan; one stepdaughter, Sherrie Ferguson and husband, Bill; step-grandchildren, Aaron Ferguson and wife, Ashley, William Ferguson and wife, Rachel, Bobbie Gaurert and husband, Rich, and step great grandchildren, Jalah Ferguson, Gage Ferguson, Memphis Ferguson, Cole Ferguson, Cody Ferguson, Roxxi Wolgamott and Isis Wolgamott.
In addition to his wife and parents, Darwood was preceded in death by one sister, Cheryl Bennett, and nephew Kenny Crow.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, from 9 am until 4 pm. Graveside services will be at 1 pm Friday, December 27, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery. Joe Hoover will be officiating.
