Eddie Baker

Edward Lee "Eddie" Baker, III, age 55 of Riverton, passed away at his home at 11:18 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2025

Eddie was born on September 5, 1969 to the union of Edward Lee Baker, II and Judy Lee (Brown) Baker. He graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1988, and then graduated from OSU Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, OK with an Associates Degree in Bakery Management and a Minor in Baking.








He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baking, practical jokes, and supporting his family in his attendance at their extra-curricular events. He was a member of Tennessee Prairie Church, the National Amputee Coalition, and the Four States Amputee Network of which he also served as Treasurer. He had worked as a baker both for established bakeries and as an owner/operator, and retired as a cook at Big Top Education Center in Riverton, KS.

He is survived by his mother, Judy L. Baker of Riverton; one daughter, Katie Sivert (husband, Nick) of Baxter Springs, KS; two sisters, Amanda Beauchamp (husband, Ben) of Galena, and Kamie Baker of Riverton; 2 grandchildren, Kenzley Sivert and Parker Sivert; and three nieces, Madison, Brooklyn, and Jordan Beauchamp.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward L. Baker, II; and one daughter, Cheyanne Baker.








A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Tennessee Prairie Church. Pastor Geoff Buffalo will officiate.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5-7:00 PM at Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena.
