Jack Perkins

Jack Lee Perkins, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 12, 2025, in Lamar, Missouri, with his beloved wife, Michelle, by his side. He was born on October 1, 1953, in Wellington, Kansas to the late Robert and Winnie (Naylor) Perkins.

Jack's passion for precision and detail eventually led him to a fulfilling career as a machinist, where he took pride in his craft and was respected by his colleagues for his skill and dedication.








On June 6, 1980, Jack married the love of his life, Michelle (Lane) Perkins, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared interests. Jack's sense of humor was legendary, and he was known as a jokester who could light up a room with his quick wit and infectious smile.

Jack's hobbies were as meticulous and detailed as his work. He found joy and relaxation in cross-stitching and building model airplanes, cars, and trucks, creating intricate pieces that showcased his talent and patience. An active member of his church, Jack's faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing him with strength and a sense of community.

His relationship with Michelle was one of deep friendship and unwavering love. They were each other's best friends, partners in every sense, and their bond was a testament to their commitment and affection for one another.

Jack is survived by his adored wife, Michelle, his brother-in-law, Mike, and his beloved cat, Bozz.








Jack's legacy is one of kindness, humor, and love—a life well-lived and well-loved. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at Joy of All Who Sorrow Orthodox Church in Joplin, MO. A burial will follow at Graves Cemetery in Neosho, MO.

Funeral Services are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO.
