Alice Jeanette Scotten, 89, of Neosho, Missouri, died Monday, June 23, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on September 17, 1935, in Loda, Illinois, to Harry and Minnie (Little) Henderson.
Alice was a 1953 graduate of Urbana High School, where she served as class president. She married Richard Jeffrey "Scotty" Scotten in Wabash on July 2, 1954; he died May 23, 2006. Alice worked and retired from the Girl Scout Office in Lafayette, Indiana and was also a lifetime member herself. She was also a member of Wabash Church of the Nazarene. Alice enjoyed participating in church activities, and especially loved her family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Jeff Scotten, daughter, Nancy Scotten, two brothers, Jim Henderson and Bob Henderson, and sister, Ruth Irene Baer.
Funeral services and entombment will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum, in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, 1100 Manchester Ave, with Darrell Cox and Justin Couch officiating. Friends may call 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Friday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash.
