(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Debbie J. “Killingsworth” Hirschler, 65, of Duenweg, Missouri, passed away at 6:37 pm at her
residence on Thursday, June 19, 2025, following her battle with cancer.
Debbie was born on December 22, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas. However, she lived most of her life in Southwest Missouri.
Debbie found strength and peace in her daily bible study, often journaling and writing down her
favorite scriptures as a way to deepen her faith and stay connected to God’s word.
Debbie’s career began as an LPN caring for others. She realized that her health and her family’s health were the priority. Transitioning her focus to becoming a devoted homemaker who always poured her heart into caring for her family, friends, and creating a warm, welcoming home. She found peace and joy in baking and cooking homemade meals, always from scratch, often sharing her delicious treats with friends and neighbors, and in gardening, where she tended to her flowers and vegetables with love and care. She took inspiration from her grandmother, Sudie Pearl Killingsworth, and began knitting and crocheting, which were just some of her many hobbies.
She married Tim Hirschler on August 28, 1992, in Joplin, Missouri, and he survives.
Other survivors include four sons; Jimmy Schulz of Arkansas, Cody (Becky) Schulz of Joplin, Missouri and Walter “Junior” Len Schulz II of Joplin, Missouri, Jason (Jessica) Schulz of Seattle, Washington, three sisters; Vickie (Randy) Perkins of Dallas, Texas, Tammy (Larry) Roberts of Joplin, Missouri, Bonnie (Richard) Duley of North Carolina, and one stepbrother; Todd (Marie) Killingsworth of Pierce City; 11 Grandchildren; Quinton Schulz, Catrina (Jack Avila) Schulz, Dakota Schulz, Alex Schulz, Ivan Schulz, Nevaeh Schulz, Adrian Keefer, Kassidy Schulz, Danielle Schulz, Kyndall Winkleman, and Jillian (Tristan) Tygart, and several nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her youngest son, Michael Lamont Schulz, and her father, Ray Royce Killingsworth mother, Linda McGuffy Killingsworth, and biological mother, Shirley Jean Davis.
Funeral services will be at Mason-Woodard Chapel on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:00 am with Chaplain Bruce Yelverton officiating.
There will be a visitation two hours prior to the service from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.
Interment will be at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri, following the service.
