(From Parker Mortuary)Dorothy Ann Spencer, who was born on March 30, 1976, in England, Arkansas, passed away on June 14, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to the people who knew her best.
Dorothy enjoyed watching old western shows. She also liked playing Cookie Crumble and solitaire, pastimes that gave her pleasure and a sense of calm. Some of her happiest times were spent talking with her sisters, sharing conversation, laughter, and the special bond that only siblings can understand. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family, and those moments were among the most important in her life.
She will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but also for the way she lived it. Dorothy’s kindness was evident in her actions, her words, and the way she treated others with respect and compassion. Her loving heart left an impression that will endure in the hearts of those who knew her.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Tyrone Verser, Jr., Keith Verser, Asiana Spencer, Jalen Windham, Tae’Shawn Windham, Donterious Spencer, and Vanessa Spencer; grandchildren, Jaicelynn Hayes, Major Williams, Payton Lorton, Kade Cooper, Kyrie Windham, K’yoni Spencer, Shy’loni Ammons, and Damarion Harris; nieces and nephews, Demarion Jones, Marvinette Jackson, Mont’dre Spencer, Martavious Spencer, Keondrick Spencer, Antonio Huskey, Jr., Jakobe Willis, Lamarcus Willis, Jr., and Loyalty Willis; siblings, Venus Spencer, Erica Spencer, Linda Faye Spencer, Gwendolyn Henderson, Anthony Spencer, Tyrone Spencer, Daniel Spencer, and Arthur Galloway; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Spencer and Agusta (Chatman) Spencer; siblings, Willie Spencer, Freddie Black, Frank Spencer, and Nathaniel Spencer.
Cremation arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
