Thomas M. Spencer age 94 of Carthage, MO passed away at 4:54 a.m. Feb. 28, 2016 while residing at the Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, MO. He was an Army Veteran of WWII in which he proudly served as a Medic.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sarah Louise Roland-Spencer; his first born child, Thomas Theodore Spencer; parents Henry and Lucy Spencer; 4 sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his son Keith Spencer and daughter-in-law Dr. Judy Parton-Spencer of Carthage, MO; four grandchildren, Rachelle Hanke, Carthage, Robin Ruhmann, St. Charles, MO, Shawn Spencer and Kelli Carter of Joplin, MO; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with funeral services to be at First Baptist Church in Webb City, MO on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. and interment at Stone Cemetery.
