Lottie Bowden

Lottie Jane Bowden, age 76, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at her home.

She was born January 12, 1943 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Cella Monroe and Birdie Mae (Kenney) Bates. She was united in marriage to Edgar Miller and later Danny Yates. On December 31, 1986 she married Charles Bowden, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Bobby Miller; one brother, Roland Bates and one sister, Dottie Bates.

Surviving are two sons, Rocky Miller and his wife Shawnda of Exeter, Missouri and Jeffery Miller and his wife Penny of Seneca, Missouri; one daughter, Christina Myers and her husband Carl of Washburn, Missouri; two brothers, John Bates and Jessie Bates both of Hot Springs, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Jeffery Miller Jr., Jesse Miller, Kevin Miller, Keisha Miller, Levi Myers and Leiland Miller and three great grandchildren, Jeffery Miller III, Faith Miller and Marshall Miller.










Lottie grew up in Buckville, Arkansas, where she received her education. In 2013 she moved to Washburn to make her home. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing, quilting and flower gardening. She attended Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Arkansas.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at McNatt Baptist Church in Stella, Missouri.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
